The essentials, and nothing more
These are the only fields most families need for a first introduction.
- Nameनाम
- Full name with surname.
- Date of birth and heightजन्म तिथि, ऊँचाई
- Date of birth rather than age, so it stays correct. Height in feet and inches.
- Marital status and dietवैवाहिक स्थिति, आहार
- Never married, divorced or widowed. Vegetarian, non-vegetarian or eggetarian.
- Cityवर्तमान निवास
- Where they live now. Many families decide on this first.
- Education and workशिक्षा, व्यवसाय
- Highest degree, job title and where they work. Income is optional.
- Familyपारिवारिक जानकारी
- Father’s and mother’s names with their work, and brothers and sisters.
- About meमेरे बारे में
- Two sentences: their nature and what they enjoy.
- Contactसंपर्क
- One parent’s name and number.
What you can leave out
- Horoscope details, if your family does not match kundli.
- Income, if you would rather discuss it in person.
- The full home address. A city is enough for the first copy.
- Long lists of hobbies, achievements or relatives.
- A long “partner expectations” paragraph. You can talk about this when families meet.
Keep it easy to read
- One page, one photo, and normal-sized text. Do not shrink the font to fit more in.
- Use the same style throughout: “5′ 8″” everywhere, not a mix of feet and centimetres.
- Check spellings of names, degrees and the city before you share it.
